We do not have contracts with other 'partner organisations' where we have to pay huge amounts of fees. We also do not send your child to organisations who don't have the same rules and safety procedures.

Raleigh focuses on working through, for and with youth to inspire and make positive change in the following programmatic areas:
- Effective use of natural resources
- Building the resilience of vulnerable communities
Our way of working to achieve impact in all of these areas is engaging young volunteers from around the world on two delivery programmes; Expedition and International Citizen Service (ICS).
The idea of “worthwhileness” is what drives every programme. By this we mean that every project we offer has been arranged by us to be worthwhile to you and the organisation you’re volunteering for. Put simply: busy, constructive volunteers are happy volunteers and in turn, their host organisations are happy too.
To make this happen, we are constantly challenging our local staff to improve the support we offer the projects and to improve the volunteer experience through enhanced support and backup – not just in country, but before and after their project. Continuous improvement is key.
